The next room on my list is our Living Room. I've been working on this room over the last year and I just have a few more tweaks. I'm hoping to have all of these new pieces in place for photos of the Fall Collection in August.

Chairs : Mark D. Sikes for Chaddock (similar options here and here)
The big investment in this room for the season will be two new chairs. This room has always felt a bit formal and I'd like to bring it down a notch. These chairs are still elegant, but will add a casual touch with their rush seats. (I've created the rendered photo in AI to help me visualize the chairs in place.)

We have had this rug for 12 years - and I still love it. I might be the only piece that we still have from when we originally moved in. It is 100% wool with perfect muted colors. We have a 9x13" in this room. A 9x13" 100% wool rug for $600 is crazy. I would buy it over and over again.

I added these lamps to this room last summer. The exposed wire gives them just enough character and interest. They are classics that will be able to move around our house for years.
As I discussed in my last post, I'm systematically adding more natural and woven elements to each room of our house to bring more of a cottagey feel. I bought a basket from Martha Stewart's Tag Sale a few years ago and it has become my favorite piece to move around, room to room, and sometimes fill with flowers. I like the idea of it living as the centerpiece (almost like a special urn or vase) in this room. If I didn't have this one, I would search for an authentic Nantucket Lightship Basket.

These are the original framed specimen, but I have reproduced prints available online.

Because the rug has bits of deep slate navy, these pillows are the perfect, simple addition to this room.
I've been searching for a new lamp in this room - I think this blown thick glass will be so pretty. Sometimes there are seconds available online, or if you visit their factory.
