For anyone that has either visited our shop in person or reached out via email or Insta DM, you have probably interacted with Laurie. She has been our main support person/shop manager/organizer/extra hands/proof reader/oversee-er of everything for the last ten years. When we opened our neighborhood shop, she took on a manager role there. If you met her (or have emailed with her), you know her kindness and gentle spirit.
For me, she has been a constant and steady sounding board for ideas, design concepts and business plans. Her taste is impeccably timeless. She has an appreciation for simplicity and elegance. She could be a master study in unwavering personal style - loafers, cardigans, turtlenecks, long skirts, flats, navy, black, beige, white.
When I designed this new print - the color, the subtle stripe, the tiny details - it felt like the perfect ode to Laurie.
We will miss her greatly as she moves onto her next chapter.
