Lobster Corn Chowder Recipe - Free Download

On our trip to Maine this summer, we tried to sample every lobster roll we came across.  On some of the chilly days I gravitated toward the Lobster Stews & Chowders.  The stews were usually thin cups of half and half with a few pieces of lobster - very authentic, but disappointing.  The chowders were full flavor with potatoes and celery, more my speed.  

I actually love cooking on vacation because it gives me a reason to stop at local farm stands.  Our rental house had a beautiful kitchen that I was itching to use.  I couldn't help but to add corn from the farm stand and it made this chowder such a great end of summer meal.

We hosted our parents for dinner after we got back and served it with a BLT salad using good summer tomatoes and a peach & blueberry dessert.  All of the goodness from summer in one meal.
